This year I had the job of planning our Dopp family trip. I decided Disneyland would be the perfect vacation for 19 grad kids. It turned out to be the perfect trip. I loved being able to spend a week with my family. The trip began last Saturday with our first stop in Las Vegas. We thought it would be fun to have dinner at Chucky Cheese and let the kids play games. We all had fun and it turned out that the last "kids" to leave were Clint and Jeff. They had a blast playing the different games to see who could win the most tickets. Cade left with lots of toys from tickets Clint won. Sunday morning we left for California with a short stop in Barstow. They have the best outlet mall that cannot be missed. I bought Cade and Austin their wardrobe for next winter and only spent eighty dollars. What a deal!!! After shopping at the outlets we stopped at In and Out Burger for lunch and then we were on our way to Disneyland. We had planned to just go shopping and eat dinner once we got to California but Clint couldn't wait to go to Disneyland. So we headed over to the parks for a few hours. Sunday turned out to be really busy so we were only able to go on a few rides. While waiting in line for Finding Nemo Cade and Austin fell asleep so we headed back to the hotel. On Monday and Wednesday we went to California Adventure. They have some of the funnest rides like Soaring Over California and Tower of Terror but I think my favorite thing there is Aladdin. I was glad that we had five days because we could just take it easy instead of running from ride to ride. Tuesday we went to Disneyland. There is something magical about Disneyland. I think it is the music, the smell of cotton candy and the happy people. (or it could have been the sugar high I was on, Clint and I managed to try every treat inside of the parks. Note to anyone going to Disneyland the Tiger Tails in the Chocolate Shop just to the side of the Winnie the Pooh ride should not be missed.) It really makes you feel like you are in a whole new world. Cade even caught the magic and said, "Mom I am happy and so are you." Cade learned some new things while on our trip like what Pirates say, how to be a galactic ranger in the Buzz light year ride and that giant spiders, stink bugs and giant crickets are really scary. Thursday we ended our trip with a day at the beach. It was nice to relax and let the kids play in the sand and fly kits. The best part of the vacation was being with the people I love most and seeing them all happy. We can't wait until our next visit to the magic kingdom. For now we are all on Disneyland withdrawals. While doing laundry, vacuuming and dishes Cade said, "Mom I want to go to Disneyland and stay at the hotel with my cousins." "Me too Cade!!!"

UGHHH! The Laundry! It was a really fun trip. The girls get the hugest grins when anyone even mentions our trip! Thanks for seamless planning on your part!
Nikki,
Thank you for all your work in planning the trip. Thank you also for the welcome baskets they were great. It was a very memorable experience.

What a great trip! Sounds like you guys had so much fun! I can't wait to take my boys there.
It was so fun to be with all the cousins. I wish we could do it a lot more often!
Sounds like you guys had a blast! I want to go to Disneyland with the kids, but I thought Gage
(3 years) wouldn't be able to go on a lot of stuff. I think Gage and Cade are the same age--so do you think now is a good time, or to wait? Also, how did Austin do? Was it hard with a baby?
Sounds like such a fun trip. I am sure it was so nice to not feel like you had to rush from ride to ride.
Thanks Nik for planning such a great trip, we had a lot of fun, and it really was magic at the Magic Kingdom.
I'll just say DITO!
Thanks for planning the trip Nik, we had such a good time!
Oh my gosh you just sealed the deal. This year with the Nelson's we are going to Disneyland again. We have gone every year in October until last year when Val and I decided to go to San Diego. Don't get me wrong it was fun but oh Disneyland sounds awesome. I love the smells too! They actually pump the smell of the waffel cones out into the streat! Yum!
