General Conference Review

I am one of those people who love general conference. I wish it was held on a monthly basis. I love that I don't have to wear a dress, I don't have to iron my boys shirts and I can drink a diet coke while watching it. (Caffeine free of course.) This year I especially loved watching it. We watch it at my parents house with all of my family. To kick of the morning we have an amazing breakfast that can be compared to the Little America Brunch. It is a spread of every breakfast item that you could imagine. After breakfast we watch conference together. There are always great talks that encourage, uplift and make me want to be a better person but I think my favorite part of general conference is being together as a family. It is a great opportunity to have my children learn that they are so loved and so lucky to have the gospel in their lives. It is fun to watch Cade and Austin play with their cousins, get hugs from aunts and uncles and learn what this gospel is all about. I am grateful for a family that has created so many fun memories for me and my kids. I know that even though I may not have heard every talk I was able to feel the spirit. I can't wait until fall when we get to do it all over again!

I have to agree with you 100%! Madi got so excited to see President Monson and Dave and I just looked at each other and smiled.

It was a fun day yesterday. I love that all of our kids have so much extra love and support form the family. Ruby was so funny to call the cupcake batter "Clint bait." She thinks Clint is great. He's such a teaser, and Ruby loves that. I agree...conference is so uplifting. Whatever I missed, I can read about in the Ensign.

I'm with you too! Conference weekend really is the best. I always feel like I am slacking in so many ways and conference always just boosts my energy and motivation! I love it!

We totally missed being together for conference, I had to get up early in Vegas to check-in and make sure everything was getting ready.

It is so comforting to know that even when you aren't around, your little one is surrounded completely by people that love them, no matter what.

I agree that we may not hear all of the talks, but we get what we need to get out of them. And spending time with family is what it's all about!

Hey, on Saturday I am going to be hosting a Park Lane Jewelry party and I would love to have you come over! Let me know your email address and I will give you the details!
