We Were The Lucky Ones

Each year we spend the last week in July at the Ferguson family reunion. If you are lucky enough to be at the reunion that means you knew Grandma Fergy. We spent a great weekend with her swimming, going to movies, eating good food and drinking pina coladas by the pool. Just after we got home she got sick with phenomena and pasted away. Grandma Fergy was the best Grandma anyone could ask for. I think the best thing about her was that she had everyone tricked into thinking they were her favorite. Cade and Austin adored her and loved every second they had with her. It was heartbreaking to tell Cade she had pasted away. This is his third grandparent that has died this year. It is at times like that I am so grateful for my testimony of the gospel. It is so much easier to answer hard questions when you already have the answers to them. We spent last Monday at the hospital with her and we all got a chance to say our goodbyes. She was amazing while we were there, she still had her good sense of humor and was continually asking if we needed anything. She was even drinking diet coke and begging us to take her to lunch. She will truly be missed and always in our hearts.

Nik and Clint ~ we are so sorry to hear of your family's loss. You are right though. It is more comforting to go through the grief process with a sure knowledge of the plan of happiness and that one day, if we are faithful, we will be together again.
