Brrrr!!! It has been so cold this week that we have been wondering if it is Christmas or Easter. The boys didn't seem to mind picking up eggs in the snow and filled their baskets to the top. After our egg hunt we went to breakfast with my family. Then it was off to Grandma Jean's house for lunch and another egg hunt. Luckily it warmed up a little bit in the afternoon so the boys could play outside. They love having a jungle gym to play on right next to Grandma's condo. They were so tired when we got them home they wanted to go straight to bed. I thought I would tell them all about the Easter Bunny so they would be excited Easter Morning. After tucking them in bed Austin started to cry and said he was afraid of the Easter Bunny. I told him I would put his basket outside so the Easter Bunny wouldn't come in. Then Cade started to cry because he was worried his basket would blow away. Wow, that sure backfired. Next year we will just be surprised when they wake up and find their baskets. Sunday morning Austin wouldn't get out of bed because he thought the Easter bunny might get him. He finally got out of bed and decided to go and see what the Easter Bunny had brought him. Much to his relief the bunny had already left. Sunday we spent the day at my Mom's watching general conference. When we got to my Mom's house my brother showed up like this.
(He had a little run in with his closed garage door.) So we told poor Austin that he got in a fight with the Easter bunny. I know we are mean but the look on Austin's face was priceless.
We promise we don't normally torture our kids. While at my Mom's we had yummy food and watched conference together. I also thought it would be a great time to work on a service project. I printed off a project to make bunny puppets for children in orphanages. Little did I know it would take three hours to make one bunny. I think this project was a little over my head. So I will have to find an easier project for next confernece.
