A Quick Break

While our house was being sheet rocked I talked Clint into a quick vacation.  We were both in need of a break from house building and I always like to go on vacation before we have a newborn.  We went on a 5 day Caribbean Cruise that left from Miami.  We loved the port of Miami it was beautiful.  I made Clint be in all of the pictures because I hate pictures of me pregnant.  I really did go on this vacation I was just the designated picture taker.
Leaving the port of Miami

Our first stop was in Key west Florida.  We did a fun city tour that took you around the town.  You could get on and off the trolley at each stop.  We stopped and had lunch on the beach and Key lime pie dipped in chocolate.  I was really excited to try this desert but it wasn't my favorite.

Key west was a fun town to walk around they had lots of little shops to look at.  Clint even liked shopping there and bought new flip flops and sunglasses.

We went on Celebrity Cruise lines this time and we really liked it.  We were the youngest couple on the boat by about 40 years but with me being pregnant we fit right in.  The food was really good and the entertainment on the boat was our favorite so far.

The best spot on the boat was the adult only serenity pool.  It was heated and had jets everywhere in the pool.  We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing there. (and eating bowls of gelato every second)
Oh I did go on this vacation!  Our next stop was Cozumel, Mexico.  It was so pretty.  We went on a snorkeling tour at a nearby hotel and then we had nachos on the beach!

It was so nice to go on a trip where we could relax without the kids.  But by the time we left I really missed the kids.  I kept saying the kids would love this.  We will bring them with us next go around.

After we got off the cruise we spent an extra day in Miami.  We wanted to go to a movie and didn't want to pay for a cab so I had a great idea to take the city bus.  Two hours later we arrived at the mall and movie theater.  When we got back to the hotel the guy checking us in told us that the theater was only 2 miles away.  We had gone in a huge circle around the city.  But I guess we saved forty dollars and got a free city tour.  I think this little vacation will get us through the last half of building our house.

What a great pre-baby vacation. That serenity lounge looks great! Hope the second half of building your house goes smoothly. :)
