Crazy St. Patricks Day Weekend
I hate to admit this but Clint is the more responsible parent out of the two of us. He left for the weekend to go to Las Vegas with my brothers for March Madness and I became totally irrational. I think there must have been some crazy leprechaun whispering crazy things in my head. All of the sudden it became a really good idea to dye all of our food green, only eat green foods and eat chocolate gold coins for breakfast. Maybe it was the chocolate sugar rush that lead me to think it would also be a good idea to buy a dog. I hate being home alone so I thought a dog would make me feel safer. So off to the pet store we went and we ended up with a sweet little puppy named Abbie. Abbie was absolutely terrified when we put her in our car and brought her home but by the end of the weekend she was starting to get used to us. Abbie had been abandoned and abused but I was sure if we were nice to her she would love living at our house. Everything was going pretty well until Clint got home. (By the way he should get husband of the year for not wanting to kill me when I called him and told him that I bought a dog.) As soon as he got home Abbie became very protective of me and Jersey. If Clint would hold Jersey, Abbie would arch her back and start growling and look like she was going to attack Clint. It was kind of scary and as the week went on she got worse. We felt so bad that the dog was terrified of us so we called her trainer and she said she would take her back. I thought the kids would feel really bad but I think they were a little scared of her so they were glad that her old trainer would take her back. I was actually really attached to her and cried when we took her back to her old trainer.
