Sunday we headed up to the cemetery to decorate my grandparents grave site. My grandpa died before I was born but I was really close to my grandma. She died when I was about nine years old. My grandma started so many traditions that we love. One tradition she started was Lagoon day. Each memorial day we go to Lagoon. It is one of my favorite holidays. We have yummy food and lots of fun hanging out with our cousins and aunts and uncles. This year was fun even though it was poring rain. It turned out to be a great afternoon. It wasn't to hot and the rain had scared most people away so we had the park to ourselves. We left Lagoon at about seven and the kids were so tired. They were asleep before we had even left the parking lot. When we got home Clint and I each grabbed a kid and took them to bed. Clint left the car running so that the kids wouldn't wake up when we turned off the radio. After we put the kids in bed we watched reruns of the office and fell asleep on the couch. At 11:00, four hours after we had been home I realized we had left the car running. So if you want the best way to run your car out of 4 dollar a gallon gas just leave it running in your driveway!

Oh my gosh. That is too funny you guys. Ryan almost did the same thing - sort of. We unloaded the car and never shut the back tail gate or the garage. I went outside later that night and discovered our little faux paux. That's what you get when you spend all day with kiddos at Lagoon - brain drain. :) Love you guys!
So funny! That's as bad as the time my mom left her car running, locked. After getting a neighbor to come get her, drive her home to get spare keys and take her back to her car, she realized it actually wasn't locked, but she had to pretend it was because she was too embarrassed to admit it to the neighbor. At least you didn't leave it running overnight! It's a safe neighborhood where you can leave your car running and nobody steals it!
Hey there,
It was fun to see you guys for a few minutes at Lagoon the other day. Do you still live in Syracuse or are you out this way now? Hang in there with the little one...it gets easier as they get older, so everyone tells me!!
Clint & Nikki,
It's good to read your blog and see what you guys are up to. Looks like things are going great. You have some cute kids!
Things for Kandice and I are going really well. Just work, school, etc. We can't complain.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hello. Take care, and keep in touch.
