Birthday Month

Cade has learned from a very young age that when it is your birthday you get to celebrate all month long. (This is something he definitely learned from his Mom.) It isn't Cade's birthday until the 24th but he has already begun celebrating by having two parties. His first party was in Logan with Clint's Dad. Clint's dad will be in New York for his actual birthday so we decided to celebrate a little early. We also celebrated Halloween, my birthday, Max's birthday and Grandma Taylor's birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Taylor gave Cade a very cool game that you set up pop cans and then shoot them with a laser gun to knock them down. The game was exactly what we needed for Cade's next party. We had a good old fashioned Cowboy and Cowgirl party. Cade's cousin Kayla is only a few weeks older than Cade so we combined their party. It was complete with cowboy and cowgirl costumes, ranch games, a pancake breakfast, pony cakes, a horse pinata and two ponies to ride. They were the most adorable little ponies named Licorice and Spirit. The horses were there for an hour so the kids had plenty of time to ride the ponies. They were quite the ranch hands by the time we were finished. On Sunday we had 8 inches of snow so we were a little worried about having a birthday party outside. Luckily the weather cooperated and it was the perfect temperature and the perfect day.

What a great party! I love the picture of your little family with the horse. You could totally use that for your Christmas card. Happy Birthday little C!
