New Years isn't my favorite holiday because I hate staying up late. I always feel pressure to stay up and do something fun. When I really just want to go home and put my pajamas on. So when we got a text from Circe saying come to our house until 8 or later and play games, bring 8 dollars we are having pizza I was excited. It was the perfect party I didn't have to make anything and there was no pressure to stay if I got tired. We stayed until about 9 and we wanted to stay longer but Austin said he didn't feel good so we thought we had better go home. The last time he said he didn't feel good he ended up throwing up at the City Creek play land. It was awful and embarrassing so we didn't want to repeat that again. When we got in the car he told us he had drunk 4 cups of eggnog and three cups of sprite. No wonder he wasn't feeling so good. By the time we got home he was feeling better so we sent the boys upstairs to watch a movie while we watched a movie in our room. I think we both fell asleep at about ten. Jersey woke me up at about midnight for her nightly feeding so I rang in the new year with my baby girl. It will probably be the last year that I feed a baby at midnight so I enjoyed snuggling with my baby. I have really felt content this year. I feel like I have everything I have ever wanted. Sure I would love to be a millionaire, a size 2 and travel the world but I feel so happy with my little family.
New Years Day
New years day we have a tradition of going to breakfast at Ruth's Diner and then we went sledding. We didn't have any sleds so we went to go find one and they were all sold out. We did find some snowboards and the kids loved them. After sledding we went to our house for lunch.
Even Jersey got in on sledding. Kip had a lot more fun than it looks like in this picture. |
I love the look on Jersey's face is this picture. |
