What better way to celebrate your 8th birthday than at the beach. We spent the day at Oceanside pier surfing and eating tons of mint chocolate cookies. All of the boy cousins rented surfboards while the girls had fun on the boogie boards. I didn't think any of them would be able to get up on the surfboards but they surprised us and picked up on it pretty quick. I have tried surfing and have failed miserably every time. It isn't easy but they all stuck with it and had so much fun.
Jenny and Jeremy arrived at the beach that day, Ari was so excited to have her buddies there to hang out with. Kiptyn was thrilled to have the "real" Kate to pall around with again.

These three had so much fun running in and out of the waves. Kiptyn got tired and wanted to swing so we went to the park. While we were there he said "Mom this kid swinging next to me is in my preschool class." I looked over and it was one of his friends from preschool. |
After the beach we walked up to main street and ate dinner at the farmers market. Everything we ate was so good. Cade and Ari had wood fired pizzas and cheesecake for dessert. We love to go to farmers markets. Every time I saw Jeff and Clint they had some sort of new treat. I think they had crepes, donuts, cheesecake, churros, fried Oreos, fish tacos key lime cake. It was quite the birthday celebration.

We love the mini donuts at Disney World but these donuts were even better. |

When we got to the car we sang happy birthday to Cade. He was one happy birthday boy! |
