Every Good Thing Must Come to End

I hate when vacations are over which is why I always have a trip planned at all times.  It makes leaving the one trip not so bad.  Our next trip we have planned is a snowboarding trip at Brian Head.  We got a still of a deal on a condo there and couldn't pass it up. I am excited to bundle the kids up and head to the mountains.  The last day of our beach trip we spent the morning at our hotel with Jeremy and Jeff's families.  We hit up the pool and watched the kids on the waterslides.  When it warmed up we went to the beach for our last day of beach fun.  The kids surfed and played in the sand all afternoon.  I wish we lived closer to the beach it is the cheapest entertainment there is.

That night we went to the Rockin Baja Lobster for dinner.  They have the best chip and salsa bar it is yummy.

 While we were eating dinner we went to book our hotel in Las Vegas for the next night and found that it was $350 per room even at the cheapest hotel.  We decided that we would just stay in California one more day since we had one more night at our condo.  It was an awesome idea until we had to drive straight home.  That wasn't the finest 11 hours on my life.  I had a fever and my back was killing me.  It was a long drive home.  Since we had one more day of vacation we decided to go shopping and check out Carlsbad. 


We started the morning at the #1 donut shop in San Diego.  These donuts were huge and really good.

 When we got to Carlsbad they were having a Halloween Carnival put on by the city.  All of the shops were handing out candy and the main area of the town had bonce houses, cotton candy and ice cream.  It was a great way to end our trip. 

One of the stores made a little haunted house and at the end of it they handed out king size candy bars. 

Kip told me he was stuck.  I hate when that happens.

Cade is quite the little shopper.  He loves to go shopping, once his Dad was gone he talked me into a new shirt and hat from the surf shop. 
 

 After the Halloween party we met up with Jer and Jen for dinner.  We went to the Claim Jumper.  We let all the kids sit on their own table and had a giant chocolate cake delivered to their table.  They loved it. Then we had to say good bye to the Arizona Dopps.  Our kids will be excited to see them at Christmas they sure miss their cousins. We woke up the next morning at 5 to head home.  The kids slept for a few hours and then they made bracelets with their looms.  They were  really good on the drive home.  We made one stop at The M Buffet in Las Vegas.  We couldn't pass up gelato, crab and crème brulee.  Austin ate at least 5 ice cream cones it is his favorite. 

 When we got home Cade had a ton of homework. We were sad our vacation was over but it was nice to come home to the beautiful fall leaves and a hot pot of soup.  Plus Halloween was in a few days so we were excited for all of the Halloween festivities.
