Christmas Miracle
Today we had a Christmas Miracle. Cade made it through all two hours of nursery. Nursery has been a big adjustment for him he usually throws a complete fit each time we take him. In fact anytime we see a church while driving he says, "No Nursery." Today he only cried for a few minuets and then he was fine. This was a huge deal for us because we haven't made it to three full hours of church for about the past six months. It was so nice to go to relief society and hear the lesson. It was one that I really needed. The lesson was on enduring to the end. They played a movie of a dad who won father of the year. He was a father to a son who was born with severe brain damage. The son couldn't talk but he had learned how to use a computer to communicate with his father. One day the son was watching a triathlon and told his father that he wanted to participate. This would be impossible for the son because he was in a wheel chair. The dad then decided that he would carry his son. He made a special bike that held the son. Then he carried the son as he walked the whole race, lastly he swam with the son on a raft. The movie was amazing to watch. When the son completed the race he typed Dad when I was running the race with you I felt like I was normal. This was no small act for the Dad, when the race took place the son was about thirty years old and wieghed about 120 pounds. How blessed we are to have a father in heaven that also helps us finish trials that we may go through in this life. I feel so blessed to have the gospel in my life. After hearing this lesson I felt a little guilty for my attitude I have had lately. I am so blessed and grateful for a loving family and two sweet little boys. I love this time of year when we celebrate our Saviors birth. After becoming a Mom the Christmas Story become more real to me. I can't imagine being Mary and delivering a baby in a manger. I love that the savior of the world came to this earth as a baby. I look at my boys and I think that they are so perfect. Heavenly Father was smart when he sent Jesus to teach as a child. I have learned so much from my babies. I loved to read about Jesus as a child teaching to the people. I am truly greatful for all of you. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!!

What a Christmas present Cade!!! Just in time for the holidays!
We had that same lesson and I really learned a lot too. It is amazing how often we need to be reminded to endure to the end. There was a sister in our ward who told of how both of her parent were murdered when she was young. She then went to a foster home whose parents later divorsed. She talked about how she could have given up but just kept going.
I love that story about that Dad. I have heard it before and every time I hear it, it touches me.
Love ya!
What a nice story! It's good to have inspiration like that to help us through. I just want you to know, Scott and I think you and Clint are doing a GREAT job of being parents. I think you are in the hardest stage of your lives right now. Having two babies and no older kids to keep you running fun places is harder than anything you'll do later, in my opinion. Sometimes it seems like it's all diapers and reflux. It's those times that I think of the phrase, "I will pour out more blessings than you have room enough to receive." Or time enough! But you're handling those little "blessings" and the accompanying trials, so well. Thanks for being examples to us! Love ya!
Your a life saver, thanks for taking my class on Sunday. Sorry you did'nt get to go to Relief Society I know I miss it sooo much, hopefully Cade keeps going to nursery i'm sure it was hard on him since he had you there before. Hey if its alright with you I'm going to add your blog address on my blog list, let me know if you hae any objections. -Melisa
