Clint and I were lucky enough to have an angle be born in our home. I call Cade our angel because his fair skin and blond curly hair just reminds me of what an angel would look like. I just wanted to do a quick post about the genetic disorder he has because February is nation Ectodermal Dyspasia month. In a news letter I receive they challenged us to teach someone new about the disorder. You can read up on the disorder on this website http://www.nfed.org. We feel very blessed that Cade has a very mild type of the disorder. Because his case is mild we have very little challenges in our daily life. I know there are many people who struggle each day with the disorder. The biggest challenges we face are finding him soft things to chew because he is missing five of his teeth. We also have to keep him cool because he has half the amount of sweat glands that he is supposed to have. He also has eczema so we slather him in lotion. Lastly he doesn't have tear drops so we have to put eye drops in his eyes daily. We feel so blessed to have our two healthy boys. I know that it is a miracle to have them!

Nik,
Thanks for sharing this information about Cade. I didn't realize you had to put drops, lotion, etc in every day. I'm glad you are so on top of his care. What a lucky little guy. Keep us posted on your new adventure. We can't wait to hear all about it.
I remember the first time I saw Cade walk into the nursery room and he did look like a little Angel boy to me. He is such a sweetie, he is so social and lves to hang out with whoever. Both of your boys are soooo cute.
Thanks for the info. Cade has a spirit that everyone can feel right from the start. Although it was technically Austin that made Scott so baby-crazy, we love both of your boys so much! Cade is my special one because he shares my birthday. :)You and Clint are awesome parents. We love you!
I LURVE that picture of Caden! He looks so cute! You are such a good Mommy to those boys. They are so lucky to have you! And Clint is very lucky to have you as a wife!
Eczema is so awful. What lotion do you use? We still have to use only vaseline on Jack and only wash his body/hair once a week. I think that's good that he is only missing 5 of his teeth, it could be so much worse. He really is such a sweet little angel boy!
