Birthday Boy

I can't believe my baby is 1 today. One year ago I got to meet my little Austin. He was a big baby 8lb 11oz and 21 inches long. My delivery was supper easy. I was only in Labor about 5 hours and then one push and he was out. I couldn't believe how big he was when they put him in my arms. It was hard to imagine how he fit in my stomach. After the delivery my parents brought Cade to see him. It was so fun to finally have both my boys in my arms. It has been so interesting to see their little personalities grow and develop. Austin is very silly. He tries to see if he can get you to laugh by doing things he shouldn't. His favorite trick is to sit and the top of the stairs and cry until I come to see what he is doing. Then when I get there he pretends to go down the stairs face first. When I hurry to catch him he turns around and laughs. (What a turkey) He is also quite the talker. He can say mom, dad, grama, cookie, hi and his newest word is watermelon. (Thanks to uncle Scott) You can also bribe him to do anything if you have food. This kid likes to eat! He is a cuddle bug and loves to sit on my lap and rock in the rocking chair. He has also developed a bit of a temper. He lets me know what he wants. I can't imagine life without him. So Happy Birthday little dude. We love you!!!

Happy birthday! We love you, too, Austin! What would Scott do without his little watermelon eater? :)
