Each year we celebrate Pioneer Day at Clint's Dad's house. He lives in the small town of Kanosh which is about 15 minuets from Fillmore. Clint's Dad makes a little float on his flat bed trailer with four wheelers, hobby horses and balloons. Then we "get" to be in the big parade. The parade is so small that when you go down the street you throw all of your candy to the right side then when you get to the end you flip around and throw candy to the left side. Even though the parade is small you should see the amount of candy the kids get. We have learned that these kids are very picky when it comes to the candy. I was throwing taffy and the kids would just look at it. Then Clint and Cade would through gummy bears, Skittles and Starburst and they would all run for them. It was pretty funny to watch and compare to the Kaysville parade where you have to be a Olympic athlete to find even a small piece of taffy. After the parade, which lasted a good ten minuets, we headed to the park for some dutch oven lunch. The ward in Kanash cooks dinner for the whole town. (Keep in mind the whole town isn't more than 200 people.) The food is really good and the best part is the homemade root beer. After lunch the whole town stays and runs relay races. They start at age 6 months and finish at age 90. It is really fun until about age 40 when you have been running relay races for 4 hours. This year we opted out of the races and decided to go boating instead. We went to Yuba lake for the first time. It was a little choppy and cold but the guys were brave and spent the afternoon wake skating. Our last stop on our adventure was a stop at the Mercantile they have the best bacon and Penny candy. Cade loved getting a quarter and picking out 25 candies. Thanks for the fun memories Grandma and Grandpa we had so much fun.

Love those small towns. We went on a big family trip to Fillmore last year to see family history sites. It makes me wonder if I could live in a place like that. I'm going to say no. But it's fun to visit. I'm glad you guys are back. You have more pictures to post of the rest of the trip, right? :) That was a cute one of Clint and Austin!
I'm glad you guys had a good time. We missed you at the bbq and at the lot. However we're glad you got to celebrate with the Taylors. Clint you and dad did an amazing job on the tree house. The kids are all excited to play in the finished product
Glad you guys had fun, but we missed you at the Preston parade.
