Mesquite

I heard a saying a couple of weeks ago that you don't know you have too many kids than you can handle until you already have too many kids than you can handle.  I think we confirmed that we have to many kids than we can handle on our annual Mesquite trip.  While we were there all the kids ran ahead of us to the elevators.  Ty and Kip jumped on the elevator and when the doors started to shut Ty jumped off and Kip was still on.  Cade and Austin came running down the hall to us to tell us that Kip was on the elevator all by himself.  I have never felt so much panic in my life.  Immediately the worst possible outcomes kept popping up in my head.  I jumped on the elevator and went to the main level while Clint took the stairs and looked for him on each stop.  When Clint got to me and he didn't have him I burst into tears.  I was so scared that we wouldn't be able to find him.  Right then the elevator doors opened and a lady was holding him telling him she would find his Mommy.  I have never felt so relieved or stupid at the same time.  I couldn't believe we had let them get on the elevator all by himself.  That night I could barley eat dinner because my heart was still racing.  The rest of the trip was as relaxing as it is every year.  We sat by the pool, ate pina coladas, went to a movie and ate at a lot of buffets.  It was just what I expected it to be perfect.  Thanks Grandma for such a fun weekend!
